JENKINSON, John Wylie - passed away on December 22, 1999, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimers Disease. A native Calgarian born on December 6, 1921, Wylie proudly served his county with the Royal Canadian Navy aboard HMCS HAIDA from 1940 to 1945. In 1946 he married Kaye, his wife and best friend for fifty-three years. He was the loving father of Donna (Russ) Piche, Wendy (Stewart) Scalf and Bill Jenkinson, all of Calgary. A much-loved grandpa of Myles Picke. Also survived by a sister Elva (Tom) Tyson of Calgary; sisters-in-law, Sue Kahler Ellis and Ruth Kahler; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Wylie was employed as an electrician with Cominco for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1982. he was an active member of the Calgary Naval Veteran's Association, HMCS HAIDA Association and the No. 285 Legion. Family wishes to thank Dr. Gladman and the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre 2 East Staff for their loving care. Memorial Services will be held at Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary on Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 3:00 p.m.
