RATHBONE, William Douglas - died at Nanaimo General Hospital on November 29, 2005, after a long battle with lung disease (emphysema). He was born in Toronto, Ontario, November 21, 1924. He will be sadly missed by his wife Audrey; children Susan Bain (David), John Rathbone (Anne-Marie), Joanne Goss (Wally); grandchildren Megan, Amanda, Nathan, Emily, Janine (Steven); great-grandchildren Kira and Marina; brothers John (Pam) and Murray (Evelyn) of Hamilton and Bruce (Pamela) of Toronto; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Bill was highly respected from coast to coast for his 49 years in the advertising industry. He was proud of his service in the Canadian Navy in WW II. He loved music and spent many years singing in Anglican Church Choirs. Memorial Service will be held Saturday Dec. 10, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at St.Anne/St. Edmund Anglican Church, 407 Wembley Road, Parksville, B.C.
