YULE, George Bruce - Passed away quietly at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario on Friday May 6th , 2011 at the age of 87. Born in Prince Rupert, B.C. Son of the late Thomas Duncan Yule and Christian Jean Yule. Survived by his wife Alice (57yrs) and children Kenneth Yule (Paula), Christine Gibbons (Marshall) and Donald Yule (Tracey), 6 grandchildren, Cameron, Scott, Vanessa, Usa, David and Janine, 5 great grandchildren and Bill Kenneth Davidson (Beldie) of Scotland. A proud Canadian, George was a World War 2 Veteran. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1940 to 1945. George attained the rank of Petty Officer. He sailed on board HMCS ROSTHERN K169, HMCS TEME K458 and HMCS OWEN SOUND K340. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces serving 30 years in Germany and Base Borden. He loved to travel, fish and watch his beloved Montreal Canadians on "Hockey Night in Canada". His believe to be yourself, be honest and faithful has been passed on to his family. He will always be loved by each and everyone of us. A very special thank you to the wonderful Nurses and Staff at Parkwood Hospital. The wonderful care and true friendship given George the past 4 yrs did not go unnoticed. Memorial Service to be held Wednesday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at Parkwood Hospital, 801 Commissioners Road East, London, Ontario with Rev. Darrell Shaule. Refreshments will follow. Internment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with family only. For those who wish, memorial tributes to the Veteran's Care Program" at Parkwood Hospital would be appreciated. Tis hard to part with those we love, though parting days will come, yet let us hope to meet above, for this is not our home.
