CHANTLER, Douglas Alton - Veteran of W.W. II, Royal Canadian Navy, Owner of Douglas Designs, died on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, in his 86th year. Douglas, beloved husband of Ruth (nee Baillie). Loving father of Ray (Phyllis), Glen (Jody) and Russ. Loving grandfather to Brent, Jesse, Jaclyn, Gareth and Aylish. Predeceased by his brother Earl. Visitation on Monday, August 25 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas Street West. Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 26 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the M.S. Society or The Salvation Army, would be appreciated. (Toronto Star 25 Aug 2008)
