FELDMAN, Arthur, Electrical Artificer 4c, V23593, RCNVR, Died - 26 Feb 1944, HMCS COLUMBIA - son of Morris and Grace Ellis Feldman of Glace Bay, Cape Breton, NS.
EA Feldman died of wounds on 26 Feb 1944, when on 25 February 1944, due to heavy fog and faulty radar, HMCS Columbia rammed a cliff in Motion Bay, Nfld. EA Feldman was trapped by the bulkhead in the ASDIC compartment. His shipmates tried to save him but he died of his wounds. Arthur enlisted at the age of 18. He is buried at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, St. John's, Newfoundland.
