Robert Wylie

 

Stoker 1st class, V66614, RCNVR

 

Born: 10 Jul 1924, Galt, Ontario

 

Died: 1973, Cambridge (Galt), Ontario

 

Robert served in the RCNVR during WW2 as a Stoker 1st Class.  After being demobilized he returned to Galt and married on June 1, 1946. They raised six children, Robert, Sylvia, Richard, William, Cynthia and Robin.

 

Ships served in:

HMCS STAR - Enlisted 20 Jul 1943. Commenced active service 04 Aug 1943.

HMCS YORK - 30 Dec 1943 - 20 Mar 1944

HMCS LAUZON - Served in Lauzon 31 Aug 1944 - 11 Nov 1945 as a Sto 1c, RCNVR. Commissioning crew.

HMCS STAR - 20 Nov 1945 - 21 Dec 1945. Demobilized 21 Dec 1945
