LYSNE, Jack M. - passed away peacefully on January 3, 2019 at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife, Thelma, son Larry, daughter Wendy (Tim) two grandchildren Leah and Jason, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Vera and son James. Jack was born in Westlock, AB. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1946 where he served for over 31 years, retiring in the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Uncle Jack was the unofficial "God Father" of the Lysne clan. Jack was very active in the Sons of Norway Lodge in Victoria serving as President of the Lodge. He also served at the District level as President and International Director, Jack often said "I've had a very lucky life" Jack will be missed by the many people who knew him. Memorial Services will be held on February 21, 2019 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. 20097 -72 Ave. Langley and on February 23, 2019 at Norway House at 1:00 p.m. 1110 Hillside Ave., Victoria, In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Jack joined the RCN 14 Jan 1946 and retired on 15 Jun 1977.
