FRASER, James Philip, LCdr, DSC, RCNR - born c1904, the son of Rev John and Johanna Fraser. Before the outbreak of WW2, James served as a captain of a RCMP Cutter. During WW2 he served in the RCNR. He married and lived in Halifax. After the war he was captain of the "Nova Scotia", a PEI Ferry. He was killed in a motor vehicle accident.
FRASER, James Philip, Lieutenant-Commander - Distinguished Service Cross (DSC) - RCNR / HMCS Waskesiu - Awarded as per Canada Gazette of 09 September 1944 and London Gazette of 04 July 1944. "For good service in the destruction of an enemy submarine. For courage, resolution and skill in HMCS Waskesiu in successful operations against U-Boats in the Atlantic."
