Ken was the son of Earl Ken and Ina Maude (née Crossley) MacDonald. Ken died of leukemia at the base hospital at HMCS Stadacona aged 22 years, 7 months, 18 days. He was survived by his parents and his wife, Mary Louis MacDonald of Three Mile Plains, Hants Co., NS. He is buried in the Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, Hants Co., NS (Researched by George Newbury)

MacDONALD, Kenneth Cleveland - Leading Seaman Kenneth Cleveland MacDonald, a native of Windsor, died Friday at Stadacona Naval Hospital. He was 22. Born and educated in Windsor, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl MacDonald, Three Mile Plains, He was active in sports while attending school and was a member of Trinity United Church. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1955 and served on the aircraft carrier Magnificent. Since then he has served on various navy ships in the caoacity as an electrician. He is survived by his widow, Mary Louise, two sons, two-year-old Kenneth Daniel, and four-months-old Stephen; his parents, paternal grandfather, George MacDonald, Three Mile Plains, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Crossley, Bramber. Also surviving are three sisters, Doreen (Mrs. Robert DeVinney), Windsor Forks, Margery (Mrs. Lawrence Kehoe), Martock, and Joanne, at home, and two brothers Robert and Michael, at home. The remains are resting at the R.D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Windsor, until Saturday when they will be taken to the home of his parents, in Three Mile Plains. Funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2.30 in the Trinity United Church, Windsor, with Rev. Donald Miller officating, assisted by Padre Williamson, RCN.
