FLOWERS, H. Brian - 80, Hubbards, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at home. Born in New Carlisle, Que., he was a son of the late Clifton and Joann Flowers. Brian served with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1953-1978. He worked for the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission for 17 years and was also an active member of Hubbards Fire Department, Atlantic Chiefs' and POs' Association. Brian enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Mill Lake. Survived by his wife, Lorraine; son, Paul (Crystal); daughter, Janice (Jean Luc); grandsons, Joshua, Christopher, Brian and Jeremy; sister, Emma, New Carlisle, Que. Predeceased by brothers, Ken, Ivan, Hubert and two brothers in in-fancy. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 26th and funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, both from Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
