PACE, Robert Thomas - of Bible Hill, passed away October 19, 2003, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Rhode Island, U.S.A., he was a son of the late Robert and Pearl (Boutilier) Pace. He is survived by daughter, Kathy Lanteigne, Barrie, Ont.; sons, Gary (Margie), Port Hawkesbury; Chris (Jenny), Barrie, Ont.; Bob, Ontario; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his friends at the Seniors Complex. He was predeceased by his wife, June (Foster); brothers, Charlie and Roy; sister, Sadie. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ontario. Donations in his memory may be made to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, Arrangements entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro. Note: Robert's obituary states he was the son of Robert and Pearl (Boutilier) Pace. This is incorrect - he was the son of Dawson Welford and Pearl (Boutilier) Pace. Obituary for Dawson Welford Pace: Monday, November 5, 1951 - The Chronicle-Herald, Halifax, N.S. Dawson W. Pace - The death of Dawson Welsford Pace, 85 Cunard Street, occurred suddenly Saturday morning while he was at work. He was 58 years of age. Mr. Pace, a plumber by trade, was born in Halifax and had resided here all his life. He was son of the late Robert and Sarah Pace of Halifax. Surviving besides his wife Pearl, are one daughter, Sadie (Mrs. Robert Boutilier), Timberlea; three sons, Charles, Port Malcolm, Cape Breton; Roy, Timberlea; Robert, attached to H.M.C.S. Magnificent, and three sisters, Sadie (Mrs. Frank Lafford), Halifax; Bessie (Mrs. Allan Grono), Halifax and Mrs. Mary Simms, Boston, Mass. The remains are resting at Snow's Funeral Home and the funeral will be held from there Tuesday morning with service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery. (Researched by George Newbury)
