Robert's wedding announcement in the Halifax Mail lists him as serving in the RCNVR.
ROBSON - SCOTT - An interesting wedding in St. Mark's Church, Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock, the rector Rev. W.W. Clarkson officiating, was that of Kathleen Gertrude, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ansell Scott, 18 Columbus Place, and Robert Robson, R.C.N.V.R., son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Robson, of Toronto. Ernest Morley presided at the organ, and Writer Norman Shave, R.C.N.V.R., sang "I'll Walk Beside You" during signing of the register. Miss Margaret Anderson was bridesmaid. Robert Hearns, R.C.N.V.R., was best man, and Victor Allen, R.C.N.V.R., usher. Later they left for Moncton and Charlottetown and other parts of the Maritimes. They will reside in Halifax. Mrs. W.C. Hiltz of Kentville, aunt of the bride was an out-of-town guest. (Halifax Mail, Thursday, 30 Dec 1943)
