FOUGERE, James Clement (Clem) - age 94, Truro, passed away July 7, 2019 in Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in New Glasgow he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Doiron) Fougere. Clem served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He worked as a dispatcher for the Canadian National Railroad, (CNR) for 37 years and 10 months, retiring in 1987. Clem is survived by his wife of 66 years, Olla (Densmore); son, Gregory (Brenda), Winnipeg, Man.; sisters, Rita Armstrong, Fredericton, N.B.; Helen Wheadon, Dartmouth; Joan Whalley, Maple Ridge, B.C.; special granddaughter, Dusty; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Raymond and Charles. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service will be held on Friday, July 12th beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Liturgy of the Word service, all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Father Cristenel Fartadi officiating. Visitation and reception will follow the service. Interment in Watson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro or Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 10 Jul 2019)
