St. Clair Levy, who would have been 23 years old today, died in Newfoundland on April; 20. The funeral was held with six members of the navy acting as pall bearers, Navy Chaplain Charles DeW. White of Halifax, conducting the service, assisted by the Rev. E. R. MacWilliam. The casket, draped with the Union Jack, was carried from the house on the shoulders of the sailors, and placed in the hearse and the procession, which was met by a local detachment of Naval Ratings, proceeded to the Baptist cemetery in Liverpool, where the chaplain conducted the services at the grave. The abundance of beautiful flowers were a silent tribute to the brave lad who died while in the service.
