WADDLETON, Ronald Lawrence - Age 93, of Middle Sackville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was a son of the late Gladys and Lawrence Waddleton; he proudly served his country during the Second World War as a Leading Seaman in the Royal Canadian Navy. After the war he married Shirley Ann Wood and raised 6 children together. Ronald was a very successful salesman with a charismatic personality. Ronald volunteered for many years with the Lions Club and was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion dedicating numerous hours as Poppy Chairman, coordinator for cribbage and had the honour of being a member of the Order Of The Knife. He will be deeply missed by his children Larry (Lynne), Joy (Dennis Kirkwood), Karen (Jim Sheppard), Kim Wood, Peter (Sue) and Jackie (Kevin Reid); grandchildren, Tiffany, Jessica, Ben, David, Alex, Rebecca, Josh, Adam, Steve, Mandy, Jake, Julia, Peter and Donovan; great-grandchildren Cohen and Oake; brothers, Jim Waddleton and Delbert Weare; sisters, Eileen Kileen, Virginia Drake and Leona Ruckpaul; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sisters, Patricia Kelley and Janice; brother, Russell. A special thank you to the staff of the Hants Community Hospital inWindsor for their kindness and compassion. A funeral will take place onThursday, July 27 at 11 a.m. in Sackville Legion, Calais Branch 162, Lower Sackville. For those wishing, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Calais Branch 162, or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
