In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ADAMS, T. Bruce - Surrounded by his family, Bruce peacefully passed away on January 13, 2016. Husband to Gloria (Harvey) for over 46 years, he will be missed by his children Karen (Dave) Steve, Jim (Catherine), Jon (Heidi), Jeff (Martha) and Sue (Paul). Bruce was Gramps to Barrett, Ada, Max, Sophia, Taylor, Jack, Lily, Ben, Caleigh, Kaleigh and Justin. His family was a source of great joy always. Son of Rose and Jim Adams, he was a loving brother to Doreen (Ray) and Joan (Ted). He was a brother-in-law to Sylvia and Don Newton and proud of his many nieces and nephews. He loyally served in the RCN in WWII and worked as a Chemical Engineer at Lever Detergents for thirty-plus years. He spoke fondly of the boys in the Signals and his colleagues in the lab. He enjoyed summers at the trailer with his family and in-laws (Elsie and Reg Harvey). Bruce was a quiet man, but always conveyed a strong, calm presence appreciated by all those who knew him. His love and dedication to his family were immeasurable. We will always cherish the memories of this incredibly special man. Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. (Toronto Star 16 Jan 2016)
