In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
CHAPMAN, Walter Brian - Brian, age 61 passed away suddenly on Wednesday August 24th 2022 at his home in Fall River. He was born in Kingston, Ontario to Barbara (Neal) Chapman and the late William "Glenn" Chapman. He retired in 2015 with 30 years of service in the Canadian Military, sailing initially on Surface Ships and later transitioning to Submarines. He was currently employed as a Screening Officer at the Halifax Airport.
Left behind to mourn his passing, and celebrate his life are; his wife Wendy, children Eric (Mikaela), Jonathan "Jonny" (Jessica), Hannah, Spencer, grandson Lucas, mother Barbara, brothers and sisters; Susan, Robert (Sandra), Jimmy (Karen), Cindy, Chris, Jeff (Sharen), sister-in-law Sharon (Chris) brother-in-law Morris, and many special Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his father Glenn, brother-in-law Jack, sister Connie Chapman and daughter Genelle (both in infancy).
Beyond anything Brian loved his family and that love exploded exponentially when his grandson Lucas was born in October 2021. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. Brian went by many names in his life; Son, Husband, Dad, and "Chappy" to many, he loved talking to people (all of whom he considered a friend), acting carefree and silly, and listening to music. He was an active person who always had a project on the go, once he could picture something in his mind he could build it. When he wasn't busy working, he could be found relaxing in front of his "Stereo" listening to his ever-expanding list of favorite songs. He loved our pets, from walking our late dog in Laurie Park, to singing songs to our cat while preparing her food.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth. Funeral Service will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth, on Friday September 2nd, at 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life from 2-4 p.m.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to one of the many Cops for Kids organizations.
