Born: 21 Apr 1923, Cloverdale, British Colubmia

 

Died: 20 May 1972, Chase, British Columbia

 

McLEAN, Elvin Raymond - aged 49 years of No. 305, 910-th Ave., New Westminster passed away accidentally on Saturday, May 20, 1972 at Chase, B.C. He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey, 1 daughter: Mrs. J. (Linda) Williams, Surrey; 1 granddaughter, Christina Mae, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd McLean, New Westminster; 2 brothers, Ralph and Milton, Kamloops; 2 sisters, Mrs. Donna Bowers, Queen Charlotte Islands; Mrs. Doreen Soderstrom, Fort St. John; mother-in-law Mrs. Mae Harrington, New Westminster; Mr.. McLean was a 7 yr. veteran of W.W. II serving with the Royal Canadian Navy. He was also in the Reserve of the Westminster Regiment for a number of years. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 1972 in the New Westminster Chapel of S. Bowell & Sons, 219-6th St., with Rev. W. Lyle officiating. Cremation.

HMCS AVALON II - Depot ship (tender to HMCS AVALON, Newfoundland) - Served in Avalon II 08 Jul 1942 - 07 Aug 1942 as an AB, RCN

HMCS LOUISBURG - Served in Louisburg 08 Aug 1942 - -6 Feb 1943. Survived the sinking of HMCS Louisburg.  He was an AB at the time of the sinking.
HMCS SUDEROY IV - Served in Suderoy IV 10 Aug 1943 - 07 Dec 1943 as an AB, RCN
HMS NABOB - Served n Nabob 15 Dec 1943 - 28 Aug 1944 as an AB, RCN. Survived the torpedoing of Nabob. He was an AB at the time of the torpedoing
HMCS SCOTIAN - Served in Scotian 23 Dec 1944 - 15 May 1945
Motor Launch ML Q055 - Served in Q055 16 May 1945 - 05 Jun 1945 as an AB, RCN
