BUTT, Albert (Al) - 55, Alderney Drive, Dartmouth, died January 20, 1999. Born in Harbour LeCou, Nfld., he was a son of Marjorie (Rideout) Butt and the late Stanley Butt. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy for many years and with the Merchant Marines. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 122; Royal Canadian Legion, Somme Branch 31, and Mic Mac Aquatic Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Slaughter; sons, Roy, Prince George, B.C.; Jason, Dartmouth; daughter, Celina, Dartmouth; brothers, Roy, Dartmouth; sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Montford Styles), Alma (Mrs. Angus Hoddinott), North Sydney; Marie (Mrs. Murray Bungay), Alder Point; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, funeral 7 p.m. Saturday, both in J. Albert Walker and Sons Funeral Home, Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth, Rev. Ogueri Ohanaka officiating.
