RITCEY, John M. - 44, died suddenly at his home in Vancouver on May 17. He was the son of Mr and Mrs John W Ritcey of this town, and formerly of Riverport. He served seven years with the RCN during World War II; was with the Department of Transport for a year; then served eight years with the RCAF before going into business for himself in Vancouver. He is survived by his wife Jean, formerly of River Hebert; one daughter Jill at home in school; one son Jan at sea; his parents Mr and Mrs John W Ritcey; and one sister Madelyn (Mrs J Byron Tanner) of Lunenburg. The funeral service was held in Vancouver before the body was cremated and sent back to Lunenburg. (Lunenburg - Bridgewater Bulletin of Wed, May 30 1962, pg 10)
