COOPER, Paul Wray (Coop) - Passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 17, 2018 in his 78th year. Beloved father of Stacey Cooper (Harry Dimitriou). Dear brother of Judy Bent, Patti VanPlew, Carole Ferriday and brother-in-law of Jane Cooper and Judy and John Doneff. Predeceased by his spouse Frances Peltzer and brother Dave Cooper. Coop was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71, Fort Erie, the Fort Erie Power Squadron and Canadian Coast Guard. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy on the HMCS Haida. Coop was an avid boater and member of the Bertie Boat Club. He retired after many years of service as the Service Manager at Canadian Tire, Welland and Dave Lyons. Benner Funeral Services , 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive their friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 2 - 4 p.m. Private interment at a later date. (Welland Tribune 21 Aug 2018)
