McCLUSKEY, Stephen Ronald (Steve) - It is with great sadness the family of Stephen McCluskey, age 70, of Hammonds Plains, announces his passing on Friday, November 1, 2019. Born in Plaster Rock, N.B., he was a son of the late Jilbete and Francis McCluskey. Steve served for 35 years with the Canadian Armed Forces where he also made several lifelong friends. He leaves to mourn, his beloved wife and best friend of 31 years, Sandra (Batstone); loving children, John (Eeva), Troy (Erika), Kim (Rob), Dan (Tanya); step-children, David (Joanne), Robert, Scott, Lisa (James); 11 cherished grandchildren, whom he adored. Also leaving to mourn, his sister, Jay Paradise; brother-in-law, Ronnie Hooper; many nieces, nephews; a large extended family and dear friends. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, November 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Refreshments will be served following the service in Royal Canadian Legion, Calais Branch 162, 45 Sackville Cross Rd., Lower Sackville. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels. A special thank you to the staff of QEII for their kindness and support.
