STEVENS, Ronald Gerald (Gummy) - passed away quietly on May 15, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Ron will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sons Mark (Heather) of Victoria, Jack (Julianne) of Toronto, Robert (Lori) of Victoria and daughter Judy (Mike) Barber of Shawnigan Lake; his grandsons Angus and Maxwell Barber, and Jak (Lannette) New of Vancouver; his brother Bob (Joan) of Courtenay; Janet Stevens of Victoria, the mother of his children; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ron spent his last years at the Lodge at Broadmead, where many will miss his cheerful attitude and distinctive singing voice. His family would like to thank the staff at the Lodge and at the Memorial Pavilion for their help and kindness over the years. 'Now reunited with his mother, Etta, father, George, and brothers and sisters Lawrance, Norman, Jack, Margaret, Muriel and Gwen'. A Celebration of Life will be held in Victoria at McCall Bros. Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Friday, May 23, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Lodge at Broadmead would gratefully receive donations in Ron's memory.
