FAULKNER, Ralph Bertrum - age 93, of Dartmouth, passed away in Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, QEII on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Born in Cheverie, Hants Co., on January 24, 1926, to Harry and Mildred (Smith) Faulkner. Ralph was predeceased by his parents; wife, Dorothy (Giles); daughter, Debra; sisters, Grace, Dolly and Ruth; brothers, Harold, Winfred, Frank and Ron. Survived by brother, Lawrence of Stanley; children, Sandra, Linda, Stephen (Eva) and Janet, all of Dartmouth; four grandsons; two granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his close canine companion, Winston. Ralph served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 30 plus years, serving in the Korean Conflict and on several tribal class destroyers. He recently received a Korea Peace Medal. Ralph's past times were a love of outdoors, planting flowers and vegetables and tinkering in his woodshop. He enjoyed a cup of tea with his friend, Alvin. Together they discussed world affairs. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 15th at 11 a.m. in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Family flowers only.
