SITEMAN, Johnson Douglas, Stoker 1c, A1882, RCNR, died - 19 Jan 1941, HMCS PROTECTOR - Son of Mrs. Genora Jensen of Montreal and the late Wallace Fred Siteman (died Mar 1933).
Stoker 1c Siteman died at the Syndey Military Hospital, Sydney, NS from influenzal encephalitis.
SITEMAN, Jonson - Sydney. Jan 10 - Louisburg's first casualty of the present war was registered today when AB Jonson Siteman, 21, member of the RCNVR, died in naval hospital here. Death was due to pneumonia. He had been ill for two weeks. Siteman enlisted early last year and had been stationed for the greater part of the time in this city. Surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Siteman, and one brother, George Siteman, Louisburg. The body will be forwarded to the seaport town where funeral service will be held with naval honors.
