DOW, Seldon - passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Monday, December 23rd, 2019 at the age of 97 years. He is predeceased by his former wife and mother of his children, Henrietta (nee Stortz), his father Freeman, his mother Lottie as well as his siblings Glenford, Hazen, Greta, Denzil, Stella, Lyla and Beryl. Seldon is survived by his wife of 13 years, Margo Fortin; His children Gregory Dow (Nancy), Kerry Pulkkinen (David) and Jeffery Dow; his grandchildren Joseph, Shannon, Carly (Stephen) and Trevor, and his great-granddaughter Eevi. Seldon was born and raised in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. Prior to working at Air Canada for 32 years, Seldon served in World War II as part of the Royal Canadian Navy. We would like to thank the staff and residents at Red Oak Villa, as well as Dr. Roch, the nurses and PSWs from Palliative Care on the 4th floor for the compassion they showed Seldon in his final days at Health Sciences North. At Seldon’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. A private family service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
