BOUDREAU, William Alfred, CPO2, 12368-H, RCN, died - 23 Oct 1969, HMCS KOOTENAY - Son of William and Cecilia Ellen Boudreau of Stellarton, NS; husband of Ester Margaret and father of William, Michael, Daniel, Dana and Shelley of Halifax, NS.

 

CPO Boudreau was one of nine sailors who died as a result of a gearbox explosion and fire aboard HMCS Kootenay. He was buried at sea.

 

BOURDREAU, Chief Petty Officer William A. - 40, of 37 Circle Drive, Spryfield, died at sea Thursday in an accident aboard HMCS Kootenay. He was the son of the late Willia and Mrs. Cecilia boudreau, Stellarton, and was the father of five children. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Esther Murphy; four sons, William, Michael, Daniel and Dana; and a daughter, Shelly, all at home; five sisters, Jean (Mrs. Earl Anderson, Moncton, N.B.; Margaret (Mrs. Herb Henderson), Stellarton; Phyllis (Mrs. Al Stokan, Hamilton, Ont.; Eleanor (Mrs. Stanley Murphy), Bedford and Marjorie (Mrs. Robert Humphries), Spryfield. CPO Boudreau will be buried at sea.
