In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DILLON, Frank A. (Pat) - It is with great sadness and fond memories that we announce the passing of Pat Dillon. Pat was born on February 14, 1923 in Winnipeg, MB. He married Vi Dillon (nee Palmer) on September 8, 1943, and they lived a long life together, as a very loving couple and parents to their three daughters. Pat served in the Canadian Navy out of Halifax, NS during World War II. During his working career, he was with the CN Telegraphs in Winnipeg, then was in sales for M & S Coal in Winnipeg. He then worked for Weiser Lock of Canada Ltd., where he was in sales with them in Winnipeg until 1970 and then was a Sales Manager with them in Vancouver until his retirement in 1988. After retirement, Pat was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of West Vancouver. Pat and Vi moved to Calgary in September 2003 to be closer to their family members here. Pat will be sadly missed by his wife and life-long companion Vi Dillon; and his three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Ron Wharton of Calgary, Jackie and Steve Pascal of Calgary, and Wendy and Laurie Firth of Sydney, Australia; his grandchildren, Julie and Brett Pascal, Chris Wharton, and Amy, Rachel, and Dani Firth. Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway's Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. (Calgary Herald 04 May 2012)
