Michael Joseph Miller

Died: 31 Aug 2019, Austin, Texas, USA

 

MILLER, Michael Joseph - passed away in Austin, Texas on August 31st, 2019. He was a New Year's Day baby born in England in1943, and was brought to Canada on the Queen Mary after the war. He was always very proud of having attended Royal Roads and the Royal Military college, and credited much of his success in life to this invaluable experience. Michael served in HMCS Nipigon before going to Gosport to train with the Royal Navy in the submarine HMS Artemis, and was part of the Commissioning crew of HMCS Okanagan. He Left the navy in 1971 to pursue a career with CIL, and eventually became a Partner in EQ, an environmental services company based in Michigan. An active man of many interests, he enjoyed diving, boating, and hot air ballooning, and was an accomplished pilot, with a passion for open cockpit biplanes. He is Greatly missed by his wife of fifty two years, Margret , their four children and ten grandchildren . Funeral arrangements were handled by Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lakeway, Texas.
