Age 53 WO Vincent joined the Forces in May 1986 as a combat engineer. After completing his initial trade training, he was posted later that year to CFB Valcartier, near Quebec City. In 1990, he redeployed as a military firefighter and served at a number of Canadian Forces bases, including Comox BC, Trenton ON, Halifax NS, Trenton ON, Esquimalt BC, Edmonton AB and North Bay ON. He also served around the world on several warships. At the time of his death, he was working as a member of the military's personnel support staff. He was killed, and another soldier injured, in a deliberate vehicle hit-and-run attack in Saint-Jean-sur Richelier, Monteregie Region, Quebec, Canada. WO Vincent was predeceased by his father Denis Vincent. He is survived by his mother Theresa Guérette sisters Louise, Suzanne (Yves Vigneault), Elisabeth (Marc Rancourt), his brother Benoit (Manon Beaudry) as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and colleagues in the Canadian Armed Forces. A military funeral was held on November 1, 2014 at St-Antoine-de-Padoue Co-Cathedral in Longueuil, QC. He is buried in Cimetiere Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue, Longueuil, Monteregie Region, Quebec, Canada.
