PATTERSON, Donald Morley (Don) - passed away peacefully May 16, 2008 at the age of 82. Don is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Drena. Son, David (Susan), grandchildren, Laurel (Joel) and Josh. Daughter, Donna (Ralph), granddaughter, Cheryl (Aaron), and special great granddaughters, Ella and Harmony. Don is also survived by his; sisters, Ethel (Frank), Audrey (Bill), Pat (Phil); brothers, Eddie and Bob (Betty); Drena's sisters; Mary, Pat, Anne and Kathy; Drena's brother Lou; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Don was predeceased by his father Harold; mother, Mabel; step-father Leo; brother Bill and also his wife Helen; sister-in-law Leona wife of Eddie; father-in-law, Albert, mother-in-law, Lily; brothers-in-law, Lionel, Bill husband of Anne and Burns husband of Kathy; sister-in-law, Dorothy wife of Lou. Don proudly served his country 2 years in the Navy on HMCS St. Boniface. For 36 years Don worked for the City of Regina Transit System retiring in 1983. He then worked for the Corps of Commissioners for 13 years. Don will always be remembered as a hard working, loyal and dedicated man, who was always first to lend a helping hand when needed. Don loved restoring antique Radio's, collecting coins and was an avid sportsman which included hockey, baseball, golf, curling and of course football. He was a Saskatchewan Roughrider season ticket holder for over 50 years. Don also loved a good match of crib. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great granddaughters. Don has left a lasting impact on all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. A celebration of Don's life will be held on Friday May 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's R.C. Church, 100 Argyle St., Regina, with Rev. John-Baptist Okai and Rev. A.A. Vandendriessche officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers are gratefully declined, friends and family so wishing may make donations, in Don's memory, to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, 1231 8th Street, East, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 0S5 or charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of 3D of the Pasqua Hospital for their kindness and care.
