REDMOND, Lewis Vincent - 71, died Thursday in Victoria General Hospital. Born in South Alton, King's County, he was a son of the late Lewis and Mary (Murphy) Redmond. He was a veteran of the RCN of the Second World War. He was retired from Statistics Canada, Truro and was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Truro. He was also provincial treasurer for the Victorian Order of Nurses, and a past president of the Truro Lions Club, and a member of the Truro Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Sanford, two daughters, Roselyn (Mrs. Darrell Reid), Fall River, and Marie, Truro; a brother, William, North Alton; three sisters, Grace (Mrs. Carl Ward), New Minas, Margaret (Mrs. Raymond Carter), Canaan. Helena (Mrs. Chesley Redden), North Alton, three grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and an infant; two sisters, Kathleen (Mrs. Gerald Frenette), Windsor, and Anna (Mrs. William Whalen), Kentville. The body is in Hiltz's Funeral Home, Kentville. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Parish Church, Kentville. Burial will be in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro.
