DUFF, Denny Emerson (Duff) - passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Denny was born in Edmonton, Alberta on August 31, 1924. He served overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II and following the war, served with the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps. Upon discharge from the Navy, Denny attended the University of Alberta where he earned his MSc. in Geology. He pursued a career in the Oil and Gas Industry and retired in 1994. Denny enjoyed golf, hunting, and hiking. He is survived by his loving family, his wife Norma; his daughters Linda (Helmut) Verges and Sheila (Al) Slama; son Howard (Kathy); grandchildren Brett, Colin, Courtney, Kelsey, and Carly; as well as three great-granddaughters. At Denny's request, there will be no funeral service. (Calgary Herald 29 Jul 2017)
Denny Duff is buried in the Queens Park Cemetery and Mausoleum in Calgary, AB.
