LOCKAU, Robert Wayne - The family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Robert Wayne “Rob” Lockau, age 57, of South Rawdon, on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Rob was born on August 19, 1962 in Fredericton, NB. He was a son of Bernice (McLearn) and the late Harold Lockau. Rob graduated from the Conestoga College of Applied Arts and Technology from the Welding Fitter Program in June 1984 in Kitchener, ON. He went on to serve proudly in the Canadian Armed Forces, as a Lineman for 21 years, retiring in 2009. Later, he was employed by Green Rider and Edmonds Landscape Services. Rob is survived by his loving spouse, Michele Tucker; sisters, Heather; Lorraine (Poul) Dyson; nephews, Tim and Brandon; niece, Lauren; his buddy, Brian, and Brian’s daughter, Austynn. Besides his father, he was predeceased by brother, Brian. Rob loved being outside, working around the yard, puttering in the garage, working on his John Deere tractors, and going for drives in his camper. He loved all animals, especially his fur baby, Barney. Rob was a man full of life and a hardworking and compassionate spirit. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who loved his family. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of Rob’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hants County SPCA, PO Box 2274, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or a charity of choice.
