Charles Frances Hamm, C.D.

 

Master Seaman, Clearance Diver, RCN / C.A.F.

 

Born: 30 Nov 1938, Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

 

Died: 09 Apr 1973, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

MS Charles Hamm died in a motorcycle accident on 09 Apr 1973, while enroute to his ship, HMCS GRANBY, which was tied up at French Cable Wharf, Dartmouth. He left behind a widow with six children, and one on the way.

 

Ships served in:

HMCS BONAVENTURE - Served in Bonaventure as a naval gunner

HMCS GRANBY - Served in Granby as a clearance diver
