In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
CHISHOLM, Christopher Joseph (Chris) - Age 67, of Hubbards passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Chris was born on January 30, 1953, in Ingramport. He grew up in Ingramport with his mother, father, and sisters. Shortly after he graduated high school Chris enrolled in the Royal Canadian Navy and proudly served his country for 12 years. Upon his honourable release Chris embarked on a new journey as the manager of Collicut's Lumber and Building Supplies. For a little over 36 years, Chris took great pride in designing homes and serving his customers until he retired in December 2019. He was a dedicated and hard working man who continued to design houses from home. Although Chris was dedicated and loved his career his true passion was music. Chris studied recording engineering and was a sound technician for the band Higher Limits for a little over 34 years. He loved travelling with the band and creating beautiful music. His past and present band members were his second family and some of his closest friends. If you asked Chris, his greatest accomplishment in life was being a family man. Chris devoted a lot of his time and energy to his family and ensured that he was always there to lend a hand or an ear when it was needed. Chris met his wife, Kathie Chisholm, through a mutual friend. They fell in love and were married on August 30, 1985. That love grew to include his three "wonderful daughters" as he would say. Chris was most proud of being a father. His children were his pride and joy. Chris is survived by his wife, Kathie (Norwood) Chisholm; daughters; Tracy Coolen, New York; Anna Coolen, Lakeside; Tedra (Michael) VanTassel, Timberlea; and son, Jeremy Chisholm, Texas; granddaughters, Paige (Rahman) Bawazir, Raidyn Coolen, and Brooklyn VanTassel; his sisters, Sheila (Bob) Manuel, Dartmouth; Rita (Ivan) Langille, St. Margaret's Bay; Judy Manuel, Boutliers Point; and Lynn Tissington, Halifax; in-laws; Brenda (Alan) Baker, Timberlea; Judy (Paul) Lucas, Hubbards; Barbara (Garnet) Boutlier, Rawdon; and Heather Harnish Norwood, Mill cove; nieces and nephews, Bradley (Fiona) Norwood, Michael (Leslie) Manuel, Stephanie (Murray) Boutlier, Krista (John), Tanya (Morgan) Rice, Allison (Peter) MacKay, Matthew (Jill) Baker, Richard (Jennifer) Boutlier, Alan Boutlier, Shawn Norwood, Amanda (Matt) Norwood-Tessier, Randy (Rhonda) Boutlier and Donnie Boutlier; lifelong best friends Of 45+ years, Paul Lucas and Doug Davison.
