BODDEN, Arthur George (Art) - Age 83 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2020 in Dartmouth General Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Hamilton, Ont., he was a son of the late Art and Janet Bodden. Art served 35 years in the Royal Canadian Navy and nine of them were served in the British Navy on submarines. He was an active member of the Canadian Submarine Association of Canada. He designed and built a beautiful log cabin where he and his family enjoyed spending there time. He will be missed by his family and all his brothers in arms. Art is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doreen (Turnbull); daughter, Heather (Laurie); sons, Keith, Rick and John (Peggy); granddaughters, Kairnne (Matt)Cameron, Sabrina Lambert and Melissa (Gordon) Kerr; grandsons, Eric Lambert, Tyler George; great-grandchildren, Chance, Jayce, Brody Cameron, Chloe Kerr, Lily Savannah, Sophie. He is survived by his brothers, Dennis (Marilyn) and Wayne (Pat); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Eleanor (Fred) Hewer; nephew, Chris Bodden. Interment will take place at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, me morial donations may be made to Admiralty House/Naval Museum of Halifax or the Canadian Cancer society. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Halifax Infirmary and Dartmouth General for their kindness and care.
