BERGSTROM, Lloyd George - Born 16 Oct 1916 near Melville, Sask, died at 92 years of heart failure at home Sunday 30 August with his wife Georgette at his side. He lived well to the end. Daughters Linda (Joe) and Cynthia (David) will be grateful to him forever. Lloyd met and married Georgette Lapierre in Montreal while serving with the RCN during WWII. They raised their family in Victoria and Dartmouth. After a full military career, he joined Foreign Affairs to continue serving his country around the world for 15 more years in Moscow, Guyana, Iran, Turkey, Cuba and Washington, DC. Retirement years included considerable golfing and volunteering in Melbourne, Florida and Victoria. He was predeceased by his parents, Laura and Eric, six brothers & sisters, one grand child, and one great-grand child. He is survived by his wife, daughters and brother Brant (Dorothy). His legacy includes grandchildren Maya, Chuck (Inga), Georgette (Yariv), and Christa and great-grandchildren Hannah, Ma'ayan, Tzippy and Air. "Well done, Pop." Funeral at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 1379 Esquimalt Road, Friday 04 September, 2:00 pm, the Rev. Cannon Andrew Gates officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice.
