WALLACE, Richard John McBride - It is with profound sadness that the family of Richard John McBride Wallace, 63, of Conquerall Mills, announces his passing on August 14, 2020, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Hamilton, Ont., he was a son of Matthew Gilmour "Gill", Oakville, Ont., and the late Delrene Elizabeth (Copp) Wallace. Rick served in the Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian Navy, retiring in 2005 with 27 years of service. He was a member of TechNova. He then went on to work at SNC-Lavalin and in 2015 became a business partner with LeeWay Marine. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Donna; daughters, Kellie (Thor) Durning, Great Village; Tracy (Ryan) Doyle, and Diana (Dan) Morton, both of Sidney, B.C. Proud Grampy to grandchildren, Rowan, Ryker, Rylie, Ayvah, Kingston, Hunter, Bronson, Pearse and a "little bean" arriving in January 2021; sister, Debra (Robin) Mixon, West Virginia; nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by sister, Patricia. In keeping with Rick's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to Myeloma Canada or a charity of choice.
