LEECO, Percy Raulston - At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, of Percy Raulston Leeco of Murray Harbour, Veteran of World War II, age 92 years. Husband of the late Marion (nee Herring) Leeco. Beloved father of Roy (Gertie), Gerry (Blanche), Debbie (Ewen) Cuddy, and Lorne (Deanna). Loving grandfather of Kim, Kenny, Tony, Trevor, Karri, Chris, Michelle, Terry-Lynn, Tommy and nine great grandchildren. Survived by sister Lois (Jim) Gordon, sisters-in-law, Elsie Leeco, Etta Gardiner, and brother-in-law Frank Herring. Predeceased by son Lawrence, daughter Myrna, grandaughter Tammy, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law Jim, brothers Lawrence, Jack, Leslie, Harper and sister Annie MacDonald. Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Interment in the Murray Harbour Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. If so desired, memorials to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of P.E.I. would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion, Montague Branch #8 will hold a Service of Remembrance at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m. All comrades are invited to attend. The St. Andrew's Masonic Lodge, #13 A.F. & A.M. will hold a service of Remembrance at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. All Brethren are invited to attend.
Percy enlisted in the RCNVR on 14 Jun 1941 and was demobilized on 22 Feb 1946.
