In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SIMARD, Delbert Lawrence - Age 74, Dartmouth, passed away November 21, 2015, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Interment and memorial service will be held on June 24th, 2016. Interment at 12 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville, with memorial service to follow from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Saint Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Dr., Halifax. Overflow parking available in adjacent lot by old Canadian Tire location. Delbert Simard donated his body to science, and subsequently was interred in the Dalhousie Garden in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lower Sackville. It is simply marked with a flat granite stone with the year which represents all those interred in that year. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 22 Jun 2016)
