BURGESS, Charles Edgar - It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of Charles Edgar Burgess, in his 80th year, loving husband of Lucy Irene (Doherty) Burgess of Hampton occurred on Thursday January 17, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born 1928 in Hampton, NB, the son of the late Charles Roy and Elizabeth (McGivery) Burgess. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy, worked for Ontario Sensor Board, NBLC, and after retirement he worked for Irving Security. Special moments that will be cherished were the times he spent with his family. Besides his devoted wife Lucy of 54 years, he is survived by his sons Charles Roy Burgess (Karen) of Hampton and Frank Leonard Burgess (Ngan) of Toronto, daughters, Pamela Ann Bryant (Stephen) of Grande Prairie, Alberta and Colleen Anne Livingston (Richard) of Medicine Hat, Alberta; grandchildren, Stacey, Ty Charles, Cody, Daniel and Ferris Burgess, Jessica and Jamie Bryant, Michelle and Laura Livingston; sisters, Mary Forestall of Saint John and Clara Duffy of Sussex; two Aunts, Greta McGivery of Hampton and Edna Buchanan of Sussex; sisters-in-law Phyllis (Elward) McMackin, Bertha (Brian) Sheppard both of Hampton and Theresa (Garry) Mitchell of Trenton, ON; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann's Catholic Church on Tuesday January 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Alphonse Cemetery, Hampton in the spring.
