WEBBER, Weir Bredin - passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on August 23, 2004 at the age of 82 years. He is survived by his loving family, daughter Loretta (John) Ireland; and sons, Norman Webber and David (Glenda) Webber, all of Calgary; four granddaughters, Jill, Katie, Keltie and Connie; and his companion Rose Marie Parsons. Weir will also be sadly missed by his two sisters, Gertrude and Edna of Sidney, BC and his brother Bill of High River, AB. He was predeceased by Lillian, his wife of thirty-three years, in 1983; his brother Joe; and sisters, Mildred, Isabel and Winnie. Weir was born on March 14, 1922 in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Calgary with his family in 1923. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942 to 1945 and was a longtime member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 264. After contracting for himself, he worked at SAIT as a painter until his retirement. Many thanks to the staff of the Foothills Hospital - 8 Floor and the staff of Units 51 and 53 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. Memorial Services will be held at PIERSON'S Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 - 17 Avenue S.E.) on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. If friends desire, donations may be made in Weir's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, Alberta T2G 3Y6.
