IRVING, Chessel William - With sadness we announce the passing of the late Chessel William Irving in his 91st year, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague. Born on January 25, 1926, in Beach Point, he was the son of the late Nathan and Rebecca (Nee: Derby) Irving. Leaving with fond and precious memories are his loving and devoted wife of 58 years Mae (Nee: MacLeod), children Tammy (Steven) MacLeod, Vicki (Hal) Publicover, Nathan (Michelle), siblings Basil, Axel (Phyllis), David (Margaret), grandchildren Bobby (Justine), Becky (Duane), Alicia (Rob), Kayla (Chris), Emma, Keldan and one great grandchild Bennett along with a large circle of extended family and friends. Beside his parents Chessel was predeceased by sister in law Kay, nephew, Alan and niece Linda. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home from where the family will be accepting visitors on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A service celebrating Chessel's life will take place from the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM followed by interment in the Murray Harbour Cemetery. Family flowers only by personal request. Those wishing to make memorial donations are encouraged to donate to the Kings County Memorial Hospital or to a charity of donors choice.
