KNAPMAN, Norman Wynne - Norman Wynne Knapman 1933-2021 Knapman, Norman Wynne Age 88, formerly of Seal Harbour. It is with deep sadness that the family of Norman Knapman announce his passing in High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was a son of the late Wyndum and Gladys (Sanderson) Knapman. Norman was a native of Toronto. He enrolled in the Canadian Navy in 1950 at the age of 17, serving on several ships including HMCS MAGNIFICENT, HMCS HURON during the Korean conflict, HMCS CRESCENT, HMCS OUTREMONT, HMCS CAPE SCOTT (twice), reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Following his naval career he spent many years in the computer industry, both in public and private assignments. Norman is survived by his children, Janice; Gillis; Graydon (Cathy); Angela (Bob); Grant; grandchildren, Vanessa; Cody; Alison; Anthony; Joseph; Sarah; Cody; Bella; Jesse Wynne; great-grandchildren, Remy; Esme; Neve; Clive; Ivy; Vanessa; Issac; Noah; brother, Howard (Marilyn); many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion (Pellerin). There will be no visitation or church service at this time. A committal service will be held at 2 P.M., Monday in St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery, Larry’s River with Rev. Callistus Abazie officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Norman’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. The Knapman family would like to send a sincere Thank You to everyone in the High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care family.
