Died: 08 Dec 1976, Abbotsford, British Columbia

 

SANDERSON, Howard Samuel (Sandy) (Sam) - suddenly at Abbotsford, BC on December 8, 1976, aged 52 years late of 2866 Babich Street, Abbotsford, formerly of Saskatoon.  Mr. Sanderson was born in Kindersley, Sask. and had moved to Abbotsford in 1968. He served in the Navy for three years during the Second World War and retired as a Chief Petty Officer.  He served in Air Force total of 16 years retiring as a Corporal. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Abbotsford Branch No. 15. and the R.C.A.F. Assoc. Predeceased by his wife Chris June 18, 1976. Survived by 4 daughters - Mrs. Bill (Sandi) Kolysher - Lethbridge, Alberta, Mrs. Alan (Trudy) Legg - Comox, Mrs. David (Donna) Smeed - Lethbridge, Miss Debra Sanderson - at home, 6 grandchildren, 1 brother, Doug Sanderson - Timber Bay, Sask. Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 11, 1976 at 2:30 P.M. from St. Matthews Anglican Church, Abbotsford, Rev. C.W. Bryce officiating. Interment Veteran's Section Hazelwood Cemetery. (Saskatchewan StarPhoenix 17 Dec 1976)
