CHARLTON, Frank S. - Frank, known by his nickname Hank, served aboard two vessels during the war. The first was HMCS DRUMHELLER, a Flower class corvette.  His second ship was HMCS OTTAWA H31, a River Class Destroyer.  After the war Hank stayed in the naval reserves. He was also one of the founding members of the Main Brace Naval Veterans Association. Hank worked as a cook at the Sussex Hospital, then he transferred to the Ridgewood Veterans Hospital in South Bay as the Head Chef. He finished his work career as the Head Chef at the Lancaster DVA Hospital retiring in 1977. Hank also worked as a bar keeper for the Chief & Petty Officers Mess at the Naval Reserve Division HMCS BRUNSWICKER. Hank died in 1992.
