In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WILLIS, Leslie Mason - After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Leslie Willis passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home holding hands with the love of his life on Monday, March 1st, 2021. Leslie is survived by his loving spouse, Luella (Lue) Montgomery and her children; Lori-Anne Dietz (Richard), James (Lisa) Montgomery, and Lisa Montgomery. Leslie will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, friends, by his friend of over 40 years John Winger and his "Sweetie". If a friend needed help Les would always be there to lend a hand. Predeceased by his father Frank Willis and grandparents Mabel Willis and John Willis. Leslie was very proud of his time served in the Royal Canadian Navy, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather who served in WWI and WWII. He was a dedicated worker for Bell Canada for 33 years. The family wish to thank Dr. Caron, the Bayshore nurses, and especially Mary Ellen for the care they gave Les. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Leslie's memory are greatly appreciated. There will be a Celebration of Life when it is safe to gather again. (Simcoe County News 11 Mar 2021)
