In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
FADER, Michael John - Age 77, passed away on February 19, 2021 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, after a battle with cancer. Born in Halifax on November 30, 1943, he was the son of the late George and Marie (Kline) Fader. He was retired from the RCN/CAF and HMC Dockyard Halifax. He greatly enjoyed spending time at his cottage in East Shubenacadie. Michael is survived by his sister, Sister Nancy, SC; and various cousins. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation due to COVID-19. A graveside service will occur in April. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or the IWK Health Foundation. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Margaret Leighton, Dr. Peter Leighton, and the compassionate staff at the VG Site - Unit 6A for their wonderful care.
