VAN WYCK, Arthur James (Art) - age 76, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, April 3, 2021, in North Bay, Ont. Art was a son of Harry and Aileen (DeRoche) Van Wyck. He is survived by his daughter, Shelly (Don) Morash, of Dartmouth; sons, Daniel (Samantha) Van Wyck, of Dartmouth; and David Van Wyck (Jennifer Hannam) of Shubenacadie; grandchildren, Kyle, Katelyn, and Michael Van Wyck; Alicia Morash; and Hazen and Jayda Van Wyck; siblings, Margaret Campbell, Charlie (Albeit) Van Wyck, Barbara (Jerry) Ringuette, James Van Wyck, Jeannie Guinta; and many nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Aileen; daughter, Kimberley Van Wyck; sister, Frances Corbeil; and, partner, Catherine Chipman. The family would like to say thank you to Scott and Sasha his "special" friends. Art will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Art was born in North Bay on July 13, 1944, joined the navy at an early age and was based in Shearwater. After getting out of the navy, Art pursued general contracting jobs in construction both in Dartmouth and North Bay areas. Art's hobbies were photography, hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors, especially, long car drives in the back woods. Art has been cremated by Martyn Funeral Home, North Bay.
